True Story About Me & Gravity Falls & Friendship
I’m saying this late at night so most people won’t even see it, but the idea of watching Gravity Falls without Eugene is such a bummer to me that so far I have not tried very hard to watch the new episodes.

I’m not trying to be maudlin or over/melodramatic about it, so hopefully it doesn’t come across that way.
I had no idea when I started watching the show that it was going to lead to a podcast and so many new people and experiences that I otherwise never would have had a chance to be involved with.

More importantly though, I had no idea it was going to take a dude I was pretty good friends with and end up making him one of the best friends I’ve ever had.
In the course of talking about a cartoon he and I got to know each other so much better, and I’m pretty sure it also lead to us understanding some things about ourselves better. I know there were times where having an excuse to sit across from each other and that forum to just talk about what was on our minds and about life and stuff really helped us out. Personally, mentally, emotionally, whatever. It helped.

But the main thing I’d like to say is that I am grateful.
I’m grateful to the show for existing.
I’m grateful to Euge ( adamwarrock ) for wanting to do a show about a show I made him watch and then working so hard and making so many fantastic and fun things happen for us.
I’m grateful to anyone who ever listened or cared or misses hearing from us every week. That is an amazing thing.
And I am very, very grateful that so many of these real conversations and ridiculous moments between me and a friend are available for me to listen to whenever I want.

It seems weird to think about it like that, but how often do you get to actually relive memories of times spent with your friends?
To get to hear yourself laughing and having fun and just being in a room with someone you like hanging out with for hours at a time.
That’s unbelievably wonderful when you don’t get to do it anymore.

Anyway, it’s all still around, so why not go give an old episode or two a listen.
There’s a couple of shirts left, if you want one of those.
Hell, you can even still buy our ridiculously long fundraiser episodes if all the free episodes aren’t enough.

I don’t know what the future holds, but I hope that somehow, someday it will hold something and that if you’re reading this you’ll want to be a part of it.
Let’s see what happens with life and stuff.

We miss you guys! Can’t wait for you to return!
I don’t think that our podcast, Saturday Morning Block Party, would exist if it wasn’t for Chris and Eugene. Go give them a listen! They even had an episode with Alex Hirsch voicing Grunkle Stan

That is cool if we made you want to do a thing.
It is cool to do a thing with friends.

I miss the show (and its lovely hosts, Chris and Euge) so much. I’ve been revisiting old shows that remind me just how much I loved listening to them talk about pretty much everything under the sun. And yes, occasionally Gravity Falls. :P
When I was traveling in Southeast Asia and Australia in 2013, I’d put on an episode after winding down from a long day of hiking and just needed some alone time. They have such an infectiously positive chemistry that reminded me of just sitting and chatting about nerdy guff with my own friends.
It’s a bummer to not hear them weigh in on new episodes, but life happens and I’m still glad to hear they’re busy albeit apart for the foreseeable future. I hope they know how much they’ve done for the Gravity Falls fandom and us as listeners and our own appreciation for their work. I know I do.

Wow.
Well, that’s awesome to hear.

The Summerween Trickster is very scary so I gave Dipper some backup!
The backup is Superman!
Much as Dipper enlisted a super-friend to help, I enlisted the aid of my super-friend, jordangibson to color this joker!
Hope you like it!

"Criminals are a cowardly, superstitious lot, I tell you what."

Here I have drawn HANK HILL as BATMAN (‘66)!

You can buy the original art (which I’ve included a picture of) in my Etsy shop!

BUT WAIT! IT GETS BETTER!

In celebration of Free Comic Book Day being this weekend, if you buy anything from my Etsy shop between today and the end of the weekend (4/29 - 5/5/2014), I’ll also draw you a FREE SKETCH of any comic character you like!

Can’t beat free, right?

So, I’ve got a bunch of original art and 21 prints done up all fancy like for sale in my Etsy shop!

These are super-nice prints and I’m selling them:
1 for $10
2 for $15
3 for $20 (See how they get cheaper the more you buy?)

This was a lot of fun when I did it last year, so, obviously, I’d like to do even more free sketches this year, so your reblogs and retweets are very, very appreciated.

Hopefully, everyone will take me up on this, and we can all have fun watching me lose my mind under the work load as I post pictures of them all as I work on them!

TL;DR: FREE SKETCH WITH ANY PURCHASE FROM MY ETSY SHOP IN HONOR OF FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!

THE LINK TO MY ETSY ONCE AGAIN

My best to you all, and have a happy Free Comic Book Day!
